Spaghetti gamberetti pesto

  OK, today we are going  Italian....




This is also a simple dish but delicious..

Ingredients


225 gm spaghetti pasta
55 gm butter
235 ml heavy cream
8gm ground black pepper
115 gm grated Parmesan cheese
70 gm pesto
12 pieces large shrimp, peeled (butterfly)


Method


Boil pasta until al dente; drain.( The cooking time varies, Check the packet for instruction)
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in cream, and season with pepper. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring continuously.
Stir Parmesan cheese into cream sauce, continue stirring until thoroughly mixed. Blend in the pesto, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until thickened. Add pasta, check for seasoning
grill the shrimps until they turn pink, about 5 minutes. Serve over the hot pasta, garnished with two thin slices of tomato,one or two basil leaves.
 ( Those who love to bite the shrimps with added taste, in spite of grilling can cook in the sauce)
